accidentally locked my two year old in my car this morning.  luckily it was running so she had some heat.  called wife with neighbors cell phone and then realized the passenger door was unlocked.  WHEW

terrifying. sister in law did this and called the FD and they busted out the window because the locksmith was going to take like 45 minutes to get there.

I watched most of a 2 hour lifetime movie about this!

Somewhat related story.

When I was dating Mrs. Joker I tried to be all romantic-like by leaving some flowers and a bag of her favorite coffee on her doorstep when she wasn't home.  Parked on the street and left my car running because I was trying to hurry before she got back.  Didn't realize until I went to get back into my car that I had hit the lock button when I got out.  Car was running with my phone locked inside too so I had to go knock on the neighbor lady's door and ask to use her phone.

Idiot romantic guy move ended up costing me an extra $50 to have a locksmith open my car.

You're right. I'm probably never going to spend a dime, live incredibly frugally, and leave it all to my kid(s). Then, since they grew up not knowing how to handle money they'll spend it all in a week.

my 4 year old is the biggest star wars fan in the entire earth that has never seen a star wars movie. he has the character encyclopedia and can tell you about all these characters who I have no idea about. the other day he told me r2d2 could fly and I was all, "haha, you're such an adorable little idiot" and then he showed me in the encyclopedia that he has like jets or some crap and apparently even flew in a movie or something that I've probably seen. going to just break down and let him watch the movies.
