Having a wife and kids is expensive. Worth it, but expensive. If you have fewer expenses and more disposable income, I am not surprised that you are not offended by the amount of taxes you pay. After all, as a liberal you are more wired to the "eh you can afford it so stop complaining" mindset.

As a conservative, it's irrelevant whether I can afford it, the government is taking MY rough ridin' MONEY and they damned well better take as little as possible. But liberal and conservative brains are just wired differently in that regard.

Young wage earners with no kids send welfare benefits to breeders like KSUW and I, no clue why he is casting aspersions on them.

My kids are going to pay for your welfare once you can no longer support yourself. You'll be a sponge most of your life. And I can pretty much guarantee I'm going to end up paying a significantly higher effective rate, and way way way more in total tax dollars than you, even after those dependent deductions.

After work me and a couple of work bros went to a bar and you could get ANY BEER ON TAP FOR 2 DOLLARS. 2 DOLLARS.

I had 3 west coast brews (Lagunitas and 2 deschutes) and my total was SIX DOLLARS.

Not true. I do it with one hand tied behind my back and have never thought about what I'm being taxed.

 My advice (and you type of people never seem to take it) would be to take a weekend and figure out how much money you need to earn to be able to live comfortably. then write it down on a piece of paper and formulate a plan for how to go about making that. Also consider contacting a family friend or former classmate that you would like to emulate and ask them if they would be willing to mentor you.
