State department senior leaders all just quit?
The coverage on this a little alarmist, but yeah, it is not good.
1) they didn't quit; they were told to go (and a few hit mandatory retirement, which kicks in on Jan 31 and a few others hit something akin to "term limits" for their position/grade)
2) it's not even close to "all" the senior leaders
3) it's still a horribly mumped up transition.
Why would you kick out people in key positions who were openly willing to work through a transition even while knowing they were unlikely to be reappointed before you have any nominees ready to replace them?
Maybe belongs in the WTF thread?
