China jobs first.

So, this movement with ZTE has not caused the Chinese gov't to reconsider Qualcomm's purchase of NXP?

Just a $44 billion dollar deal for U.S. based Qualcomm, with the only roadblock . . . China.

So we have this straight.

LibBots are now pissed that:

-ZTE will survive and likely continue to buy from U.S. companies

-China has agreed to lower auto tariffs by 10%

-China now reconsidering Qualcomm NXP acqusition

"The Pentagon has ordered stores at U.S. military bases to stop selling two brands of Chinese-made cellphones and modems because the devices may pose a security risk."

Trump must really like their keyboards for his twittering.

Man, it's really amazing how technology inept the United States became seemingly over night.   Now rendered utterly incapable of determining if a phone has some nefarious software or technology built in.

Apple builds all their Iphone's in China . . . welp, it's settled, China is using Iphone's to spy on us, and we don't have the first clue.

Things that the United States became totally incapable of overnight:

1.  Projecting military power (part of the grand NK scheme to march straight into Seoul)

2.  Understanding if a phone has spy ware technology on it

More to follow no doubt

The ZTE thing is the most hilarious red herring nothing burger in a trade deal that sends $200B to the USA, particularly the midwest.

But yeah, keep saying ZTE to feel better, libtards.  It's the player to be named in the blockbuster deal.

What information are you using to determine the US is wrong about the ZTE phones being used to spy on the military?

Lol at olds.

When you put them on unsecured Internet connections and physically place them in a bathroom closet, it's difficult.

Just read right through "unsecured internet connection".

Look at the LibBots acting like hacking is a recent development.

https://www.defensenews.com/opinion/2018/05/02/americas-critical-minerals-problem-has-gone-from-bad-to-worse/

Sure am glad the previous administration did nothing to address this.  Allowing China to bankrupt a critical US based supplier in 2015.

They were worthless.

In a matter of 48 hours when nothing has changed the libbots have evolved from "there aren't enough details to evaluate this" to "I'm certain its a rotten deal".

It's amaze

Yet China, incredibly, appears to be winning. Though it is still early days, China has thus far escaped the bulk of threatened U.S. tariffs while giving up almost nothing of substance.

I guess WSJ is a bad source.
