Hell, Hillary's campaign team - the self-professed smartest people on the planet - evidently didn't understand you win based on electoral college and not the popular vote. They poured money into big non-swing states like Texas and California to run up the popular vote instead of shoring up their rust belt firewall.

I read a Washington Post article today that said in a KY county that Trump won in the 80% range, 60% of them are on Obamacare.  And they are overwhelmingly hoping he doesn't repeal it.

The TL;DR version was that they knew he said that he wanted to repeal Obamacare, but they didn't think he could actually do it because it was the law.  None of these people knew how laws were actually made, repealed, modified.

I mean, really, this is what we're working with here...
