If I was one who supported what Trump said he would do I'd be most pissed that he is fumbling each of these things from a PR perspective and boiling the water too fast

I think I'd be pretty happy right now. There was a lot of talk about not taking him literally, etc., so I think if I really thought the wall was a good idea, was terrified of Muslims, etc that I'd be pretty relieved right now.

I think more than anything, this will be the pattern of things:

https://twitter.com/Lubchansky/status/826491014936420352

the people with Trump's ear/attention spur action, Trump leaks trial balloon/tries to read the room, then makes decision.

now, what happens next is entirely dependent upon the people and the Democrats in congress and their ability to resist through making a lot of noise and their stamina to continue that.

if Trump is constantly facing enormous protests/strikes, Democratic filibusters, than things will go very differently than if he is able to ride out some initial concerns and then go on cruise control.

The drug guys must be charmers, they got the previous administration to do the same thing.   Amazing isn't it?

Oh, and there was even a slight hint of somewhat of a glimmer of a meltdown when the Obama administration exempted drug companies from negotiations/price controls in order for them to back Obamacare.   I think a few people sent a stern letter.

Environmentalists really just need to convince Leonardo DiCaprio to start golfing and schmoozing with him once a week or something. Problem solved.

Can someone check Dax's goEMAW contract to see if he's legally not allowed to make a post without the words 'Obama' or 'Hillary' or 'sad'

I was really just commenting on how drug companies seemingly always get their way, and then I remembered that that the selectively (but always) outraged left will fire up the ol revisionist history machine and/or pretend their idol didn't basically do the exact same thing.   Neither situation is good, BTW.

Yeah, single payer was not implemented and Obamacare was undermined and sabotaged at every turn by Republican governors and loads of Democrats that were representing insurance company and pharma company's interests. That was bad.

I posted many times that Bush did stupid things.   Weird series of posts.

I got it though, only Libs can bitch about what the previous (Republican) administration did.

We're all pretty aware that repubs completely turned on the Bush family once Trump instructed them to during the primaries. Before that? Free pass.

pfft, Repubs (sadly) turned on Jeb long before Trump was even considered a serious and viable candidate, that's why Jeb failed to launch.

But by all means, Abe, continue your revisionism.

Well the  :dunno: meltdown by the LGBT community was sent off for halftime.  No doubt they're trying to figure out some other thing to completely (and selectively) meltdown about for no real reason other then pure political partisanship.

But the perpetual meltdown by selectively (but always) outraged ProgLib Nation continues as it now seems they're upset that they can't tell the administration was to do at every turn, with their faux humanitarianism sitting at the pinnacle of the meltdown hierarchy.

Okay KK, fair point.   Then again, the primary planks of the presidents selling points were never reality, and were never going to be reality for us "Dumb/Stupid Americans/People" (ACA architect's words).   I know the left thought it was just hilarious, but congress voted on one of the most important bills in American history, and not only did they not read it for the most part, they weren't even given enough time to read it if they had wanted to.

It absolutely is not.

You see a conflict with trump owning a hotel in any country the u.s. has a relationship with, but see nothing wrong with the AG taking a legal position directly adverse to a position she is taking in pending litigation. That's rough ridin' googoocrazy.

Time for the libtards to conjure up some controversy. I'm waiting for the rumor that trump is going to repeal the 14th amendment.

This is as good a place as any.

A paradox, a quandary, irony?

Should we be congratulating Apple for sitting on a $264 billion dollar mound of cash (most of it kept outside the United States)?   Is this a #MAGA moment?  I think we can all agree that Apple at their core (rim shot) is left leaning politically (hundreds of thousands to Hillary and Bernie and the DNC).

It would seem logical that ProgLib Nation would be imploring Apple to bring that money back home, right?   It would seem logical that ProgLib Nation would applaud a move by the Trump Administration to lower ridiculous corporate tax rates, so that money could be brought home and invested in the United States.   It would seem logical that a left leaning company would, as they say, want to do the "right" thing and put that massive largess to work.   Or does the left just bow their head to good old fashioned capitalism when a left oriented company sits on billions of dollars off shore?

A pickle.  Welp, hopefully those Apple employees spend those bonuses well as they walk among the homeless and the poor drinking their 'bucks and riding their special buses (hopefully powered by "green" fuels) over to Cupertino and soon the new "Mothership".

Not sure if the latest dax post was in reference to anything specific, but I'm guessing Apple's accountants will be able to find a better deal than whatever Trump lowers the corporate rate to. Or at least they'll get wherever they stash their money now to give them a better deal

Isn't this a dangerous game for Trump to play given he has stated he does the same types of things because "it's legal"?
