I will say the Trump presidency has affected Mrs. SB's relationship with her parents in a very real and very negative way, and it goes far beyond just "they voted for someone I don't like." It is fractured and will probably never be the same. I won't go into it beyond that because it's very personal and specific to the three of them, but his presidency and the particular specifics of conversations around it have illuminated to Mrs. SB that her parents' values are not what she always thought they were. And from other people I've talked to in similar situations, this is not uncommon in America right now.

Would it be that her parents are MAGA?

What would you guys say is the biggest impact that Trump has made (negatively) for you, other than waste work hours dumping his tweets down here. I would love to know how he’s really impacted you deep down.

I have an answer for this but I feel like asking a question is more important. Is this the standard now we're holding the president to? This certainly wasn't the case with the last guy, so I have to ask what's the difference? Why the change in the standard?

I will just echo whatever some other poster said I think a page ago: a person's self-interests are not always what guides them to like or dislike a politician. A lot of us dislike Trump out of a sense of morality, and because his policies are detrimental to the greater good. Whether or not his shitty presidency has affected me personally, or my retirement account or whatever, is barely relevant to me, especially when you compare it to families who have literally been ripped apart and thrown in cages to die.

I'm a white male, he's been great for me

Are you sure?  In the next two years his special IRA tax rules are in effect.  Basically, when you die, your IRA needs to be paid out within a ten years.  The bad thing about that is anymore than 1oo thousand per beneficiary it will be close to impossible to avoid the IRA tax, which starts at $12,800 per year.  Anything over that will be taxed at 40%.  It's his extra rough ridin' to the working middle class.  They predict over 16.5 billion in tax money in the first year.  BTY, the ultra rich don't need or use IRA's.   So his tax package covers the loss of tax income from the 14% deduction to business,  Always remember the ultra rich want to stay that way, so they find ways to make middle class working rubes to pay the way.  It's MAGA rubes!!!

Could you please explain the IRA tax and how everything over $12,800 is taxed at 40%?

I'm not sure the trajectory is what you think it is.

I'm sure our trajectory is different than what you think it is, and exactly a trajectory that pleases me immensely.

Can't wait to see dax's word salad explaining how he wasn't lied to when he believed a crooked "billionaire" would drain the swamp.

Politician/election BS vs literally telling (and LibBit Nation believing) the world that a YouTube video attacked an embassy.

Like your policy/keep your policy.  Hope and change! (And bombing, spying etc etc etc).
