my initial post was incorrect, 270-270 would be a tie, obviously. i should have said that clinton will have to earn more than 270 to get her 270.

In a way I admire these gentlemen, but they can't treat that vote like its their personal vote, it isn't. They should have done what I did. I was a state delegate and when Hillary got the nomination, I quit because I was not going to go to the convention and cast a vote for her.

So the electoral college doesn't vote until December 19. Is there still a chance that if Trump decides not to take the job that the EC can just vote for Hillary instead of Pence?

Kansas' electoral vote proportion relative to the USA is roughly equivalent to it's land area proportion.

It's popular vote proportion is roughly equal to both its population proportion AND GDP proportion!

I'm almost certain it would require amending the US Constitution, probably state constitutions as well (though maybe just local laws?

). I think the electoral college will be gone in my lifetime, but politics seems too partisan right now to make it happen.
