If you’re asking if Bernard is the consciousness of Arnold.  Maybe?  I don’t think we know that yet.  The opening scene with Dolores could’ve been a flashback or a flash forward.  Or they could’ve been doing that on one of the other Bernard bots from the episode 7 preview.

All I am saying is that we know there is some Bernard bot with some human's mind in him (the one with Elsie). Who that human is(was) and which of the other Bernard bots are the same one is still in question.

Yeah, I was understanding kinda what was going on.  Until the scene after the credits rolled. Then it became, did any of that crap even happen?  Or did it happen and this scene is how many years in the future?

Many years in the future. Both Emily & William are hosts in that scene, but the ones in the main story were humans.

I thought Season 2 was a bit of a letdown.  I'm not giving up on the show tho because I'm pretty interested to see what happens now that the hosts have made it to the real world.  Hopefully Season 3 will have fewer convoluted timelines and more robot/human nudity.

yeah, I thought it was a bit of a letdown myself. But also offered a bit of hope. I got behind by a few episodes then finally finished it last night so I digested it in a weird format.

Finished up last night. Episode 8 made Season 2 totally worth it IMO. Wow! What an epi!

I can sit through a lot of stuff . . . but Westworld was off the watch list after the 4th episode of Season 2.

I've now watched this whole thing in the last month in order to watch Marshawn and it was a lot better the first time as Mr. Robot.

What a disappointment when the preview for next episode announced it as a season finale instead of a series finale.

There’s a shitload of The Rehearsal elements in this show sans the humor and entertainment.

I have no clue WTF is going on. I don't think the writers know either. I keep wanting to give it up, but there's too many people in it to do that.
