I have had zero issues with YouTube TV.
My only issue is not being able to flip channels or go back to the last channel without opening the whole guide back up.  Other than that it is great

On the Firestick remote if you tap down twice on the round navigation button it will pull up about the last 4 or 5 channels you've watched.  Pretty great feature for following football games on multiple channels!

Not being able to flip channels is kind of annoying.  Supposedly there are some smart TV remotes that will work with Youtube TV and allow you to flip channels but this is an absolutely basic feature that should be built into it already.

not sure why it doesn't work with a fire but with a chromecast you use the phone as the remote and it's fantastic for watching multiple games at once.
Will have to look into it. Last night with SNF and World Series was the first time it was an issue. I’m running it through an Apple TV and we have a universal remote for the TV that isn’t particularly well programmed for the Apple TV apps

I have a hulu/espn+/disney+ bundle. I wonder how that will be affected.

Shouldn’t affect bundle pricing.  It’s just on the live TV service.

I’m back at my cable provider for cheaper than any of the cord cutting services, AMA.

It seemed like so much work too. I don't want to have to go to 15 different places to watch stuff.

Open FireTV. Select app I want to watch - Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc. If live, then  choose live. Not that hard.

First question, why are you lying?

It’s a good question and I’m glad you asked it. I am under the assumption that it is a teaser rate and they will up it sometime after 12 months.  It is with spectrum which I think used to be Time Warner.  I get all the same channels as I did with YouTube TV for $45 a month.  I don’t have DVR but I’m finding that virtually every show I watch is in a section called On Demand that is the same thing.

I can find traditional cable priced competitively with the streaming services, but that stops being true as soon as I want more than 1 tv to have service.

They have an app that streams on Roku so it hasn’t been an issue for me to use multiple devices.

Yes, but aren't there some streaming services like HBO Max and Peacock that don't give clearance for fire tv, roku, etc.?

I literally had to read this four times before I finally got it, and yeah, it's about right. I have to stay off twitter on nba draft night, although all of these trades is making it hard for woj to keep up as quickly as he has in the past.

Tell me about jailbreaking and the Kodi app.

Came here to post something but forgot (crosspost to getting old sucks thread) so I'll respond to this instead.  Anyway if you want to to add Kodi and other similar apps to your Firestick I would recommend looking at troypoint.com for some info and advice.  They have some step by step tutorials, complete with screenshots, of how to jailbreak your stick and then add some apps.  The installation guides have ads encouraging you to buy a VPN service but just ignore those so you get the full raw dogging experience.

Cinema is a good app too and it's helpful to have a backup app in case your main app isn't working right or gets shutdown or whatever.  I've actually been using Cinema for several months now since I've been having problems with Kodi.

I think I got a virus typing this in my browser. Did you give me a virus? I just want to watch the Royals and don't have cable.

My canadian friend recommends BeeTV from the Troypoint site.  Doesn't live stream things but has pretty good access to TV/Movies.

Kodi is incred easy to add to Fire anything.  That said, it kinda sucks.  This opinion was formed circa 2016, so maybe it's wrong now.
