I only have to do it every 2 years and I walk over there with my dog and tell them I need to get hooked up again.

I've never once had a contract with a cable company. I generally cancel it after the ncaa tourney and return when football starts.

Non cord cutters, do you switch back and forth between ISP/cable companies when your deal runs out yearly? Or just call up and threaten to leave unless they lower the price again?

Don't have cable, have had Directv since 2004 and am counting the days until at&t sells it. Hope I keep that HBO access tho. :ohno:

Paused YTTV 2 weeks ago & haven’t thought about it since. Looking into getting an antenna and old TiVo DVR type set-up. Even got a maybe from Mrs. Hamburg when I suggested just stealing my parents old VCR out of their basement for the 2 network shows she watches in the background when doing something else.

Turn on YTTV for 3 months in the fall. Rest of year keep Prime & rotate Netflix/Hulu/Disney+ for the kids.

I get people laughing at cord cutting now, but I’m still going to come out ahead because it made me realize I don’t care about watching TV outside of KSU/Chiefs football. Even with Cats basketball I found myself streaming wyattvision while doing something even when I could watch.

It's incredible the amount of content you can get when you just bum stuff off other people who actually pay for stuff.

So the recent YouTube TV price increase sucks balls but it looks like they just added NFL Network to their lineup today.

Dropped fiber tv for good finally after another price increase. Apparently because they have given up on the TV provider business I won't be able to turn it back on.

Prob get yttv in a few weeks to see the ronacats

does anyone know the easiest way to watch non-local CBS/FOX NFL games? I have a Youtube TV subscription and have tried the CBS All Access app with no luck.
I assume a virus stream site is my only option but thought i'd ask.

Directv gave to me for free after cancelling. That and lowered bill from 180 to 49.

Depending on how interested you are in the out of market games, Redzone is a pretty good cheaper alternative to get in on the action.

I had no issues with yttv other than the price increase. Dumped it and haven't missed it at all.

I have had zero issues with YouTube TV.
My only issue is not being able to flip channels or go back to the last channel without opening the whole guide back up.  Other than that it is great

On the Firestick remote if you tap down twice on the round navigation button it will pull up about the last 4 or 5 channels you've watched.  Pretty great feature for following football games on multiple channels!

Not being able to flip channels is kind of annoying.  Supposedly there are some smart TV remotes that will work with Youtube TV and allow you to flip channels but this is an absolutely basic feature that should be built into it already.

not sure why it doesn't work with a fire but with a chromecast you use the phone as the remote and it's fantastic for watching multiple games at once.
