OU and UT are the only Big 12 teams capable of getting into the playoff with one loss. No Big 12 team can get in with two losses.

Big 12 and Pac 12 teams have to prove more than Big 10 or SEC to get into the playoff. That's just the reality. I don't see any Big 12 team that can do that this year, but I guess we'll see.

Most true.  Mix in that UH has an iffy schedule with only Louisville in Houston in November, and they have a shot of taking a playoff spot, the odds get longer for the Big 12.  Could the conference still get someone in?  Sure.  But yesterday did not help.

Wacky, good grief. Have some objectivity. WVU beating a terrible team from the SEC East and a few blowout wins against terrible FCS schools is not good by any measure. Oklahoma needed to win  that game and TCU needed to handle SDSU because they are the top two teams and have the best shot at the playoff. Like it or not a conference is judged by its best teams and our best teams didn't show anything this week. If Texas wins tonight we can reevaluate, but as it stands right now the conference looks like dog crap.

Oklahoma didn't need to do jack crap, if they win out they will be Big 12 champs and be in the playoff. And no one gives a damn if TCU beat a top 10 FCS team by 18 on opening night. Just like no one cared when TCU beat KU by 5 or whatever the hell it was.

I sure hope not. Missouri is garbage. Their offense is going to be scraping the bottom of the barrel again (126 out of 128 teams last year in offensive scoring). Drew Lock may not even be a 50% passer.  WVU kicked their ass like they should have, a loss would have been a disaster.
