West Virginia just beat a SEC team, but yeah, total hot garbage conference. OU is literally the only team who struggled and Houston is pretty great. Like just won the peach bowl vs Florida state kinda great.

OU was the best shot the big 12 had at the playoff is what I think people were trying to say. Someone else could run the table but that doesn't seem likely.

tcu who a lot of people think have a shot at winning our confrence just gave up almost 50 to an fcs team....and mizzou is horrible and wvu struggled more than that score shows (maybe try actually watching the game) I think houston is a very very good team, i never said they weren't. The best teams in each confrence outside of ours went out and do what they were suppose to do and ours didnt, couple that with #13tcu not looking that great and texas most likely losing tonight and nationally we do look pretty weak. I mean its week one so im not counting anyone out but if our hope is rough ridin' rape u in waco then put a bullet in my head now

Why does someone have to run the table? That's pretty unlikely in the Big 12 anyway. ESPN did some kind of simulation and they protect like a 30% chance that there will be a two loss playoff team.

Wacky, good grief. Have some objectivity. WVU beating a terrible team from the SEC East and a few blowout wins against terrible FCS schools is not good by any measure. Oklahoma needed to win that game and TCU needed to handle SDSU because they are the top two teams and have the best shot at the playoff. Like it or not a conference is judged by its best teams and our best teams didn't show anything this week. If Texas wins tonight we can reevaluate, but as it stands right now the conference looks like dog crap.

I'm not going to meltdown over a TCU W and OU losing to a legit Houston team. Mizzou is 2 years removed from winning the SEC EAST, so sorry for saying meh to all the other bullshit. WVU handled them and it was nice to see. I honestly give two fucks less if we're in the playoff or not. Stoops can get mumped for all I care.

Big 12 and Pac 12 teams have to prove more than Big 10 or SEC to get into the playoff. That's just the reality. I don't see any Big 12 team that can do that this year, but I guess we'll see.

OU and UT are the only Big 12 teams capable of getting into the playoff with one loss. No Big 12 team can get in with two losses.
