A sales guy recently left a voicemail stating "I don't want to be a pest, so please let me know if you don't want to buy my product and I'll move on."

It made me kind of sad.

I would be asking advice from other people in sales. Nobody likes being sold to and will tell you to call less often and be less annoying, but I'd imagine most salesmen are annoying because it works.

I think michigancat is a good person to ask because he actually opens, reads and occasionally buys from unsolicited emails/cold calls. I'm surrounded by sales people daily, i know most of their "tricks". I think getting a perspective from people I'm trying to target can be helpful.
