I don't want to crap on anyone's parade, thats why im saying this in the BWW thread. I'm sad about Kirk leaving. Implicitly, his AD standing behind oscar was bad for everyone. This is known. But i do GAF about academics and i thought he had a good plan for the university, complete with lazy river. I hope the next guy keeps the ball rolling but Kirk stood up and said what needs to be said to keep our cats out of the MWC. Having K-state embrace a roll as a high-tech-U is the direction we need to be heading. If we turn into midwest-state-U, we're basically N. Illinois. He did good by us, and i wish him the best.

I agree that he was good did the university as do most, not a controversial stance. Hinting that he kept us out of the MWC or is preventing us from being NIU is melodramatic.

Yes, he did a lot of good for the university.
