It'll be important for the next pres to go through an orientation in which it's taught what the past presidents did well and didn't do well, and then do all the good stuff.

I've given it serious consideration. I have some family constraints, so I don't get to make that decision by myself.

I didn't choose to be a Kansan, but I chose to be a K-Stater. If Brownback takes over K-State, I'll choose to not be a K-Stater and be perfectly happy. I mean, I already have degree from KU as well. Maybe I'll get an online degree from Wisconsin or something. I'd have loads of options.

We have often wished that certain family constraints were less constraining. Would love to move.

Kinda bummed the more I think about it. I believe Schulz was ultimately good for ksu state and could've done some really phenomenal things if he were here for a few decades. I hated what athletics have become over the last few years, but I still place the majority of that blame on Currie, unlike most here, who I think assume all of Currie's babysitting was mandated by Schulz. Kirk was a total dork on Twitter but I appreciated his role in Conference Armageddon, and I wish him well at Wazzu. Goodnight, Sweet Prince (of Persia).

This is where I'm at. Schulz overall was a good dude who did good things for K-State.

I care about academics but it doesn't have to be an either or proposition. Cheating and scandals are just the price you pay to be good at sports.

Jon Wefald came to KState from the position of Chancellor of the six state university system of Minnesota.

As University President of Kansas State, Wefald created more than 2,000,000 square feet of new buildings, private giving increased from $6 million a year to nearly $100 million a year, research funding increased from $18 million to $110 million a year, enrollment increased from 17,000 to 23,000, and, finally, K-State students won 125 Rhodes, Marshall, Truman, Goldwater, and Udall Scholarships from 1986 to 2008, which was more than any public university in America.

Please define "nearly $100 million". Fundraising the past 7 years has dwarfed anything that happened from 1986-2009.
