Where does one go to buy a new Ferrari in KC?

Online with front door delivery.

Interesting.

Good to see a super high tech fossil fuel powered machine on the streets in Kansas City.

Nick Saban and partners sell the crap out of MB's around here.   It's . . . fascinating.

things are not going well for me on the car buying.  cars that have more or less have everything i want don't exist.  basically you can get any two of these three things in a vehicle, but all three in none.

1.  fuel efficiency
2.  ground clearance
3.  legroom

My 2001 Jeep Cherokee that I bought senior year of high school has been in a hit and run at kstate (backed into by some idiot while I was in class) just rolled over 135,000 miles on it. Has no a/c, heater works. Just put tires on it. Plan on buying a car in like two years. Have enough money now.

If I were to buy one it would probably be a Dodge Ram 1500 classic Warlock.

Update. Like 5 days after I posted this my car overheated running an errand in MHK, turns out my radiator wasn't holding as much fluid as it had been. Just put 300 dollars worth of parts on it and it runs fine now.  So still holding on.

my elantra has started overheating all the time.  it's ok at night or in the morning when it's cool and it's ok on a flat highway when it's hot.  but anything else and it's always trying to overheat.

really makes you appreciate a functioning ac when you have to do without.

i haven't yet test sat a suburu, but from their published legroom numbers i'm not optimistic.  they also aren't very fuel efficient, so while it's possible i may decide to buy one, it won't be because it fulfills all of my requirements.

while it's impressive that a giant ass truck can get decent hwy mileage, since i don't need a giant ass truck, they aren't really an efficient option compared to efficient smaller vehicles.

My wife got in a hit and run in the ol' Nissan Leaf and while it was in for repair our rental somehow ended up being a BMW 330i. It's a much fancier and higher performing car than I'm used to. Took Highway 1 out to Stinson Beach last night and it was fun!

:driving: (but with the paddles until my wife got annoyed with the paddle shifting)

A kid at my HS actually drove an old AF one of those. It was honestly the ideal Meade, KS vehicle.

What’s your definition of fuel efficient?  They all get 30+ highway. Or are you looking for hybrid-like efficiency?

I’ve all but decided to get a Forester and have been emailing dealers.  I’m not convinced some of these guys actually want to sell a car.  One local place can’t figure out which cars they actually have on the lot and then can’t find the keys for some that are sitting there.  Another place told me they don’t send quotes in writing.  I’m probably going to end up flying to CoSprings or Omaha to a high volume dealer and driving  home.

The manufacturers are very back logged on getting them cars for obvious reasons. A lot of them almost sold out of inventory a couple months back. Stuff shows up on their websites because it’s on order. Inventory should catch up soon.

I'm curious what the high fuel effiency/high ground clearance/no legroom options are
[/quote

rav4 hybrid
venza
cr-v hybrid
crosstrek hybrid

in order from most efficient to least.  from like 42 mpg to 35ish, iirc.  all in the around 8" of ground clearance region.

or if you go in another direction, you can get something like a kia niro which is more efficient (50ish) but only has like 6.5" of clearance.
