Also, Mrs. wacky wants a lot of say, because she was like: "You might be hauling around our baby in 4 years. I want to make sure it's not a death trap like the last one".

 :runaway:

I knew this day would come, but hearing it out loud is super  :ohno:

Get something with a lot of leg room for the kid in the back or you are going to have SD's problem of the annoying kid kicking your seat.

Oh, i'm sure. Just want to finish paying off these student loans first.

Ford Taurus is a nice family sedan. Grab a three year old corporate lease return with 50K miles for $13-15K.

before you buy anything borrow a rear facing car seat and base, put it in all three backseat locations and decide if you can stand riding in both front seats.

If Mrs Wacky is a safety nazi borrow a Brittax or add 6 inches, those suckers are huge

Not a bad ride at all. Gets me wondering about the rear seat roominess in that car as I also suffer from the kid kicking the back of the drivers seat and the extra large baby carseat behind the other.  Since I own a VW Diesel and they will be buying it back from me shortly I guess I'm in the car market again.  I hate buying cars.
