Wacky,

If you insist on buying a boring Accord then at least get something like a Triumph Street Triple to go with it so you don't bore yourself to death.

No, that would apply if I recommended a Ducati Monster or Harley Soft-tail/lowrider/anything other than the VROD.

My friend had a nice mazda3 with leather and whatnot and it was only a couple years old. He moved to dallas and received crap nonstop from coworkers for driving a mommy car. I mean which party is white trash in that story?

I currently drive a Mazda Speed3.  I'm getting rid of a 2008 Mazda 3.  They're great cars and even with the lower trim options they're more fun to drive than an Accord.

Dallas is overpopulated with assholes that think bigger vehicles make them better drivers.

wacks, have you considered buying a Can-Am Spyder?  you can pick them up used for under $9k and you'd be a true boner-causer.

I have a '10 dodge ram 1500 with bout 50k on it.

my last car was a 96 jeep grand cherokee that died at about 325k. it was a dream car as far as maintenance is concerned. didn't spend more than $500 on any single repair. I had the headliner replaced in it b/c it started to fall off, that was honestly the most expensive repair I had done. I learned a lot about cars as I did almost all the maintenance on it myself. flush the tranny, change the oil, replace break fluid/pads, even replaced the radiator once. it was a fun car. I don't feel like I can do that stuff with my truck now, too many electronics and insanely expensive things I could break if I do something wrong.

TLDR: in my experience jeeps run forever and are great vehicles.

you can still do almost all that on your truck still, most of the things you listed have change much but you should be enjoying that sweet 6,000 lb GVWR tax write off anyways.

yeah, i suppose. mostly it's due to my time constraints now, and I felt much less concerned about messing up a $2,000 car than I do about my somewhat new $30,000 truck.

what is this write off? how much $ have I been losing by not using it?
