Just added Modest Mouse at Grinders to my list. I've heard they are either terrific or horrendous dependent on how many booze drinks the lead singer has before. I've heard he has cut back recently so i'm hoping for a good one.

I dig the VIP there for not much more money - you're on a balcony overlooking the stage on one side, but you have a bar and bathrooms up there for like 40 people total. You are away from the action in front of the stage, but I don't know how much that matters for MJ.

I have 4 tickets to Isbell in Boise and I can't go. I'll give them to anyone here that wants them. They're only GA tickets and not very expensive but it could be a good excuse to take a weekend trip to Boise in May.

I saw Energy Music Curfew Hour with Punch Brothers, Tuneyards, and Jacob Collier and it was the best show I'd been a really long time. I bought tickets knowing there would be special guests and had no idea who Jacob Collier was but apparently he's kind of a big deal and he was very talented.

Yeah, I think it's been two surprise shows so far. $50!!!! people were supposedly leaving the show the night before and then just getting back in line at the front of the building hoping for another. wild

I've had a great run of excellent shows lately (Reverend Peyton, Billy Strings, Andy Frasco) & was looking for something fun while I'm back in the area.

Ben Folds was great with the symphony at Kauffman last night. I hadn't seen anything in the smaller room before and it was an incredible spot.

I see that Billy Strings and Deftones will be in town later this year. May have to give them a looksie. Deftones opener is Idles which would rip.
