According to those that we spoke with, Snyder believes that as long as he’s making an impact in the lives of his players and staff, and the team is responding to his leadership, he wants to continue coaching.

He makes no mention of winning games.

As long as he is making mediocrity out of staff and players no one else would have on their team, bill is staying.  eff

How is that quote an indication of anything?  That's been his talking point for years.

It's easy to spit out bullshit quotes like that if you are winning 8plus games a year.  But when you say it after your first conf win in late nov, you really mean it.

Are we dismissing the possibility of Bill retiring because Currie asks him for staff changes? It seems that Currie is becoming more and more comfortable telling Bill what to do, Vanier and the Stanford game are pretty significant things that didn't go Bill's way.

This would be pretty interesting and may be the best case scenario for now.  Especially if Currie has veto power over replacement staff.

Yeah, that's a tough road schedule, but we'll have an extremely winnable home schedule. I won't be good with 4-8 at all, no matter who is the coach, when did I say that?

You didn't I was speaking to the general thought that this is a rebuilding year instead of a continuance of a trend. We've definitely been trending since 2012, add to that next year we will either have Hubener as our QB or we will get that first year QB under Snyder ready made excuse again.

I think football scoop read a 2-year-old article somebody sent them and didn't note the date and thinks that quote is in direct response to a question about grumblings on gE that he and Currie are coordinating the best way to announce his retirement and that tickets are on sale.

the Leavitt rumors indicate he has that power

No, but everyone points the finger at the quarterback, when 2/3rds of this season is on the D and then sprinkle in the rest with the coaching staff and QB injuries. Hubs, although being a pretty shitty QB, has really been our only option at offense. Everyone else is garbage, minus maybe Jones & Cook.

I guess Barnett could come back but most indications are McDaniel is gone so this year might just be a sneak preview.  The bright side is Shelly has been encouraging so maybe Hughes and Sullivan are good.

I'd be fine with that as well. Hubs has a special place in my tuckish heart. He's a 5* heart type of player and he's doing what he can, but he's limited and that's not his fault. I cringe everytime he's getting rushed and has to move latteral out of the pocket.  :frown:
