HCIW scenario might be a little dicey given that Bill wants Sean to succeed him.

Yeah, LHC Bill Snyder is the snag in the HCIW scenario. Even if Sean wasn't in the picture he doesn't strike me as the type of guy to tell people that he's leaving in a year and just hang around while another guy runs his program while Bill comes to work everyday.

This is horrible news. LHC Bill Snyder's reign is no longer best for K-State football

what if ISU hilariously collapsing all over themselves made bill say, "HA! I still got it!"

Like the odds that this actually happened at 50-50

at this point i think he just lets each coach draw straws to take a turn for a quarter at the helm. obviously andre has been drawing the 4th qt straw the last few weeks.

Snyder believes that as long as he’s making an impact in the lives of his players and staff, and the team is responding to his leadership, he wants to continue coaching.

As long as he is making mediocrity out of staff and players no one else would have on their team, bill is staying.  eff

To be fair, this year was always going to be a rebuilding year, we've suffered massive injuries, and, despite this, were close to nabbing a few big time wins.  And we still may go to a bowl game.  Two of the losses were very ugly (OU/TT), but at this point, I don't think we've lost a game where I've felt like we really should have won it.  Maybe Texas?

I think Snyder staying (assuming he does), especially given this year's ridiculous carousel, is absolutely a good thing.

Bye, Venzy.
I am telling myself that Brent told Bill "I learned from '98 and will not take a job during a title run, I will come home next year" and then added "Please recruit at least a couple JC WRs and DBs, maybe a LB or two as well"

This is where I'm at. As disappointing as several games this year have been (OSU, TCU, Texas, even Tech) and with the reaction I had toward half vs ISU (this is Snyder's 2nd worst team), I don't think Snyder is burying this program. This is a slightly worse than normal Snyder rebuilding year and honestly some of that is simply due to how the schedule lays out. Next year should be a pretty good season, even if we finish 5-7 and don't go bowling this year.

I don't follow FB recruiting.  Do we have some good guys coming in, or is the idea that next year will be good based off the few guys that we have injured being amazing and available next yr?

So we'll be good with 4-8 next year, because the schedule is much tougher and we'll still have our coordinators being themselves.

Are we dismissing the possibility of Bill retiring because Currie asks him for staff changes? It seems that Currie is becoming more and more comfortable telling Bill what to do, Vanier and the Stanford game are pretty significant things that didn't go Bill's way.

Yeah, that's a tough road schedule, but we'll have an extremely winnable home schedule. I won't be good with 4-8 at all, no matter who is the coach, when did I say that?

Which is pretty ideal actually when you have a team that's not really really good.
