I'm not going to be an apologist for attendance, but I guess I kinda am. Thursday night games are thee worst for schools like K-state that are two hours away from metros where their alumni live. Not only that, but for KC alums, they're rough ridin' beat from the royals and just spent a lot of money on postseason games/celebrations. Add K-State being shitty this year and i'm sure the students would rather drink out in the parking lot vs. watching baylor score on 10 second drives.

TAKE A VACATION DAY FOR GOODNESS SAKES WHY IS THIS SO HARD FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND
True. I'm trying to set a good example at my new job, so I'm holding off on my PTO, but i'm sure there's a different case for everyone.

Anybody else notice, it looked on TV like Bill was calling the plays.  He had the play list in his hands which he hasn't had much this year and was actually talking into his mic before a play was called, like he was calling it.

You can find sites on the internet dedicated to random people and it has a bunch of buttons and each button is a sound file from a movie or whatever. People use them for pranks. I imagine some staffer controlling a laptop that bill's headset is connected to.

Bill:  let's run that snake play

SLJ: I want these motherfucking snakes off this motherfucking plane

Bill: ok, just run whatever play Dana wants, then

In post game Bill blamed Kody for not throwing the ball away on the interception. Forgetting to mention the play was called to the short side of the field, bad timing for a trick play, etc.

Snyder is quick to throw players under the bus but never his assistants. Sad world we live in...

That he even knew who threw the pass is pretty impressive, relatively.

Kody absolutely should have thrown it away or just stepped out of bounds, but calling the same trick play minutes after it was run the first time (when it was actually one of the better offensive play calls of the season) was dumb.

It's weird that more people don't shop at the remaining Sears department stores.

Now that you can buy Craftsman tools at K-mart, no real reason to go to Sears.

Thursday night games are the rough ridin' worst. Especially when most of our fanbase has to travel from out of town. Currie should really do a better job about making sure we don't have these games.

GTFO man, shitty excuse making.

:Wha:
Just getting settled in from the game

Terrible fan attendance, especially after halftime

What are the thoughts on the replay at the end?  IT MATTERED!!!  But it looked like the first foot came down half in, half out, arguably without control.

Also what did the Baylor guy get ejected for?  The ref's audio was crap all night.

Replay could have gone either way. could have argued he didn't have complete control before the left foot hit out of bounds, but not absolutely definitive.

Baylor guy wasn't ejected. He brushed the refs hand away and sat out a couple of plays, but came back in.

Interesting.....
We got a garbled "numer......for ....bay..or....has..be...disqualified" and didn't know what was up. We assumed it was on the extra point?  I know they had one guy bitching about something during Dimel's long run.

I was really hard to tell what was going on, maybe Gus and Joel got the player numbers wrong, but number 92 seemed to be the one kicked out, but he came back in.

The official was explaining that it was his first unsportsmanlike penalty of the game and the next would result in an ejection. This is SOP since the rule was made either this or last season that two of those leads to being ejected.

The non-student sections in the stadium were much fuller than I expected when the game started. It really cleared out at halftime tho.

This is my biggest gripe. Put aside the fact that there were no such excuses when we played Auburn last year. For the folks that did show up, they still left during a competitive game.

Even if you don't care what it looks like on FS1, what do you think would be going through a recruit's head when they see something like that?

If I were a recruit, I'd be more worried about the lack of talent and the elderly coaching staff than the attendance, you mongloid

Yeah, the attendance is fine, I wish we would stop talking about it.

the only thing that pissed me off last night was our AD announcing attendance of 52,100

That was the sold tickets number. Did you want them to announce 45,000?

well, it is one of our talking points when we make fun of KU's AD.  Now they can throw it back in our faces.
