Weather also played a part. A lot of people prepared for the tailgating weather and weren't ready when it got bitter cold

I'm not going to be an apologist for attendance, but I guess I kinda am. Thursday night games are thee worst for schools like K-state that are two hours away from metros where their alumni live. Not only that, but for KC alums, they're rough ridin' beat from the royals and just spent a lot of money on postseason games/celebrations. Add K-State being shitty this year and i'm sure the students would rather drink out in the parking lot vs. watching baylor score on 10 second drives.

The non-student sections in the stadium were much fuller than I expected when the game started. It really cleared out at halftime tho.

This is my biggest gripe. Put aside the fact that there were no such excuses when we played Auburn last year. For the folks that did show up, they still left during a competitive game.

Even if you don't care what it looks like on FS1, what do you think would be going through a recruit's head when they see something like that?

If I were a recruit, I'd be more worried about the lack of talent and the elderly coaching staff than the attendance, you mongloid

Its not like this was some back and forth game that fans bailed on. Baylor was cruising in the 3rd. I would've left too.

I thought the "Baylor? I hardly know her!"  sign was pretty amusing.  :dunno:

You're right. Recruits care about substance, not stupid irrelevant things like cool uniforms, shiny facilities, or fan support.

Hey dumbass, the farm kids from Scott City that this ace staff brings in are coming here regardless, because they don't have other offers.

Blindly supporting this crap is the problem, not the solution. The only way things are changed is when it hits Currie's bank account, dipshit.

You're high if you don't think there are conversations going on right now. Currie doesn't have the balls to get rid of Bill, but he will guilt trip him to death.

All those alumni tucks sure get pissy. My argument is that a lot of students pay for those tickets out of their own pocket (which are not cheap, obviously) and sometimes being a student in college is absolutely hard at times, especially financially and the one thing they hope to fall  back on is 'Cat athletics and getting W's. Yet alumni get pissed at students for not sticking around for "close" games that are still losses and feel good about the moral victory and their hard effort on the field.

I mean, this isn't a thread about me, but I had season tickets for about a decade before I gave them up after Snyder came back.

Whose wallet does it hit when people buy tickets and show up for half a game? The only message that sends is our fans can be pretty lazy/whiny.
