Would Baylor let Fleck dance however he wants? Or would they have their Curry sit in and make him show him the choreography up front like John does with our marching band?

I don't see him going from a program where the motto is "row the boat" to one where the unspoken motto is "please don't rape".

Yeah, this. I know a lot of ppl are on the fleck train, which is cool and fine by me, but acting like he's the only answer to Bill's departure is a bit silly.

Yep.

As rusty said in another thread, there are Fleck-like coaches nearly every year. We don't remember 75% of those guys because they end up being average at best.

Well this is a sad day for me. The timing didn't work out, it was a fun two years though. I'm still not sure that Brent Venables is the first answer, we'll see with time.

I think Bill will try to make the timing never work out for bringing in someone, kind of manipulating the timing of the situation to result in promoting someone (Sean, or even Dimel)... it scares the eff out of me

I'll still be rooting for PJ.  I wouldn't be surprised if he has Minnesota in the big 10 title game in a few years given the west division isn't the murderers row that the east is.

He could do it next year, that division is laughably terrible.

He's got some building to do with the roster, they were pretty old. I do think his hire will keep players there who might have transferred because of what happened to Claeys. The only tough game they have against the east division is Michigan. The Minnesota non con schedule is waaaaayyyyy more pud than what Western has next year.

I would also thinking Fleck's spread run/pass offense will be a little different than the 2 back stuff I assume Minnesota was running under Claery.

This is going to be exciting and interesting to watch as Fleck brings his youthful verve to a B10 program.

How a-hole does PJ have in him?   Because history and fact dictate that by and large, most successful major college football coaches can be and often are, real pricks a substantial portion of the time.
