What time does that bitch shut down?
It’s different all the time. They adjust it constantly based on expected crowd levels.

What time does that bitch shut down?

Yesterday was 7:00.

There were 4 of us. The 7 year old can’t handle VR, so the 9 year old used the 7 year old’s lightning lane & rode Flight of the Passage twice. We rode Everest twice right at open with no line. The 7 year old rode the river rapids 5 times & would have more but it kept breaking. Twice we were in line when it broke & each time they gave us a free lightning lane, so me & the 9 year old ended up riding Everest 6 times.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

Gang,

I’d love your expert advice on how best to do this with a 17 year old and a 20 year old. Last time I did this they were 5 and 8.

We’ll be renting a place in Orlando over the holidays and pretty flexible on dates we want to do stuff. Will probably go tour a college or two, play a little golf, and then Disney and Universal and whatever I guess.  I have done zero research on how things have changed since the old days of park hoppers and fast passes etc

Pete, I have been to Disney and Universal more than anyone on this website I can confidently say and more than 99% of the population. I DO NOT have expertise in doing it with young adults though. My advice for you is as follows:

A) stay on property (you are not doing this, I have no idea how to navigate at all from here on out)
B) prioritize what you want to do. You can book rides early if you are staying on property but you are not. fuckin' sucks bro. BUT you can still do it and need to 3 days out (I think) and you pay for it but do it.
C) I think Universal allows you to get front of the line even if you aren't staying on property but it's expensive. I'd for sure pay for that either way. Time is the only thing you actually own. Pay for it.
D) velocicoaster, flights of passage, and guardians of the galaxy cosmic rewind are fuckin' sick. make sure you do these three at minimum. After doing flights of passage you can safely leave animal kingdom unless you love 1) animals or 2) expedition everest is also a fun coaster.
E) do you guys like water parks? Volcano Bay and Typhoon Lagoon (if open) are fun as hell and well themed.
F) hit me up for any restaurant or whatever advice via text or phone. I can tell you what is worth booking ahead of time and what you can safely skip even if morons tell you that you have to do it.

Going today for 8 nights. Going to Universal in March because my daughter is tall enough to ride their good rides now.

We decided to do two days of universal over Xmas. Mainly focused on the Harry Potter stuff. Hitting Kennedy space center, and 4 rounds of golf (grand cypress links course, crooked cat, panther lake, and celebration). Might do a Disney day as well.

do you ride the scary rides? i did some at universal hollywood and enjoyed them.  but that location doesn’t have the same big ones as orlando. orl has some I don’t think I would enjoy.

The new park looks so incred. Won’t be open when we go in March but thinking a 2026 trip will be needed to do it.

We are going in October. Doing half a week at Universal and half a week/weekend at Disney. Steve Dave i am a disney noob. My sister isn’t. We are staying on property at Disney. I am thinking of a moderate resort level with a meal plan and park hopper. What are my best options? Thinking the Carribean hotel? Any thoughts would be appreciated

no, not carribean. you have to take a bus to get to a bus. it's so spread out. if you are dead set on staying at a moderate disney resort I'd say either of the Orleans are better options, coronado a better option. you need to stay at the Swan or Dolphin if that's your price point though. better rooms, better location, walk to studios or epcot. don't take their bus to the MK but walk over to boardwalk and hop on theirs. swan and dolphin are marriott properties and not "disney" but you get the same perks and a MUCH better location and room and pool and restaruants. we are boujie disney people and still usually stay at the swan or dolphin.

also the meal plan is a ripoff. don't do that. just enjoy yourself and buy whatever food you want. you'll spend less and be happier. I've done it. just forces you to order a dessert every meal and do a sit down when you wanted a beer and a pretzel.

If you're dead set on staying at a Disney resort use this and book the Boardwalk or Polynesian at less than the cost of the moderate. Assuming there is still availability. they will put you on a wait list if not and we've had good luck.

not sure of the kid situation but hollywood studios is your elite park. best rides, best theming. epcot number 2. MK number 3. AK is getting a lot of new stuff but it isn't in yet so they have probably the most elite ride and then nothing else. Do Avatar and then get the most elite food at whatever that restaurant and lounge is called outside of it, and then maybe do the safari ride, and then leave.

Hella kids this trip,  3 within 3-6 range and a couple of babies. None of them mine. Girlfriend and i are weighing options on where to stay. My sister insists staying within range of the people mover which is why we have talked about carribean

My experience at Disney is that there are just as many MAGAs there as nonMAGAs.

I admit that I'm a bit of a rage baiter at times myself.  In 2020 I would drive my golf cart around my MAGA neighborhood with a Dump Trump flag on it.  It appeared to be just an ordinary Trump flag at first glance but upon further review it was not.  So, I got a lot thumbs up switched to middle fingers.  I also bought an Obama Biden '08 sweatshirt to wear to Home Depot.
