Is anyone else surprised that an animatronic whore on a children's ride is ksuw's fave thing but a nipple on tv offends him?

Good takes, guys.

I like these old rides because they're cheesy and irreverent and were clearly designed in a day and age when the creators didn't need to worry about offending everyone. Doesn't Jungle Cruise have some racist-y tribesmen? I guess those are gonna have to go. The whole Small World ride? Talk about racism and appropriation!!

Pirates and Haunted Mansion are my favorite old school rides and they need to stop effing with them. Adding Jack Sparrow was dumb enough.

It's also possible that Disney execs decided on their own that they weren't sending a very positive message to the children they are trying to entertain.

I think there is a scene in cars 3 where some lady car is sold at auction and then mumped in the tailpipe by the buyer

I saw one at an antique store but passed on the purchase. I don't think my new neighbors of color would agree with this stance.

It's A Small World is VERY wtf. Each European country is clearly defined with individual landmarks and cultural stuff. then you get to Africa and it's split into two parts: pyramids/camels and a bunch of black kids in the jungle with elephants and monkeys. also an awful ride in general with terrible music and little sd hates the crap out of it.

Will be taking my family to Silver Dollar City for a few days this weekend. Have not been in decades. Will report back how it compares to Disney. I can already say that SDC picks up a few easy wins being (1) about 1/3 the price of admission and (2) not in Florida. I'm going to be enjoying some crisp autum air and beautiful fall foliage instead of humidity and gross palm trees.
