Although I still can't figure out why UT didn't just "normal" redshirt Shipley in his first year, and then medical him in his second year, so as to get the result that we think Ertz will get for us (6 years, based on normal redshirt then subsequent medical).

You can't apply for a 6th year with a medical hardship until after you've completed your 5th year of eligibility, that's why UT had to wait.

You da man.....thanks much.

So, is that what we are going to have to do with Ertz?

Yes, if he wants to try for a 6th year, K-State will have to wait until after the 5th year to submit the request to the NCAA, though its almost a given he'll get it because of his injury.

Even if he doesn't "suffer multiple season ending injuries or a severe illness like leukemia" ?????

At least gE now has a definitive steffy thread.  Sucks it had to come at the expense of Delton's knee.

So Delton has to physically wear a red shirt on the side line for the rest of the season, right?
I heard rumors that it's only a red ribbon.  :fatty:

Could he get medical redshirt for two games?  So, like, we could bring him back for the 2019 playoff games only?

He can have whatever color shirt he wants, but unless they find something different when the swelling is gone, he'll be back after OSU.

Hubener has got to hold up in these next two games, so as to preserve Banks' redshirt.

OSU is the one I am worried about, because that is a game where we have to use the entire playbook and win at all costs, including pounding Joe into the line repeatedly (if necessary).

So no Banks in mop up duty this week I'm guessing.  That kinda sucks.

You can probably take that assumption to your local credit union.

Once we get up by 3 scores Hubes better be handing the ball off on every play, with the occasional 40 yard bomb.

Or run silmon/warmack in wildcat formations.  Maybe let them throw it once!
