It wasn't me then. A very near miss on a goEMAW encounter.

Also, Sam Adams' "Merry Mischief" Gingerbread Stout is now available.  Very curious to see how this one turns out, even though most Sam Adams is crap.

Makes sense, i mean it is the middle of October.

Middle of October, Christmas beers/ egg nog being sold in liquor stores and all octoberfests are sold out.  Yep.

It's all Sam Adams' fault.  The started selling their Octoberfest on August 1st and now everyone has to follow suit.  I don't want an Octoberfest when it's 100 out and I don't want some Christmas crap ever but I really don't want it in freaking October.

Free State's "Winterfest" Winter IPA is a solid IPA, but should not be a winter seasonal.  Just does nothing for me as far as winter beers go.

I'll have to give it a try.  I'm usually not all that into winter beers so maybe I'll actually like this one.  I did like Summit's winter last year, not sure if they use the same recipe every year or not...

excited to try

This was good.  I had it while preparing breakfast before the Cats v. KU game last weekend.  Good chocolaty bitterness with a slight spice.

the more i drink this beer the more amazed i am by it.

Drinking it right now.  One of the lighter stouts I've had.  Almost seems like more of a cola than a stout.  Has some cola taste, with a "red-hot" after taste.  Very good, will enjoy the last 5.

After drinking the first one, I didn't quite know what to think.  I decided to polish off the sixer tonight, and it is pretty damn good.  LOTS of flavor.

This bad boy has topped "Old Style" as officially the worst beer i've ever drank. I couldn't even finish it.

that's weird that a woodchuck cider would suck.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Now I'm concerned about what kind of person you thought was me.

Only beers I would miss would be Franziskaner and Spaten.

Yeah forgot about that. good lord.

I stay away from AB products at least. Shock Top is getting the most annoying. It gets so much floor/shelf space for all its brands and they are all very mediocre.

Same, but I'd miss them quite a bit.  Lots of options to replace Franziskaner, but not so sure about Spaten.  What would be a good substitution for a Spaten Optimator?

I never have any idea what to get and just ask the bartender. It's great how they take orders - you open a tab, order, and they give you a number and find you when it's ready. The servers can then take your order from either bar on the same table or you can walk up to either bar and they'll take your order and put it on your tab. Seems simple but it's really pretty awesome.
