It's amazing that this entire board knows our QB and WRs will be the worst group ever fielded by Snyder before they've played a single game together.

I don't agree with worst ever.  I think the Grant Gregory year probably can't be topped.
Banks, Mastrud, LaMark the Shark, Snipes seem better than what we have now.  :dunno:

I'm really looking at QB/WR in this context as an aggregate.

The QB situation was so bad that year that it really drags down the sum total.

I'm guessing there aren't going to be any "What if Jessie Ertz is a Complete Badass" threads.   :frown:

Didn't somebody say players on the team were impressed with his arm compared to what they heard and they thought he was the guy? Sounds similar to what happened with Sams. Player reports said he was the dude but coaches liked Waters

Yeah man people are such assholes to not be excited about a guy who has played 2 snaps in 3 years, finished the season as a 3rd string qb, and got recruited over TWICE, the second time just 3 months ago. Shame on you goEMAW.com

I'll say it forever.   How can K-State be in year 5 of the Snyder return and the QB depth chart is topped off by Jesse Ertz aka right handed Alan Evridge??

I mean I've seen where Bazooka Joe may have worked his way back in the mix, hell, Stan Parrish had open tryouts, it could be time to bring that back.

So ah, what position you play in high school kid, and where?

I played running back, second string for Otis-Bison, sir!

Well, you're a quarterback at Kansas State now son.

That's a nice rant, but it has nothing to do with my post.

I don't think we directly recruited over Ertz. The only one could be considered Banks and we had only 3 scholarship QBs at the time, one being a former Walk-on. Everyone else is a in a class below him. Also don't think Join Hubener getting more mop up time  is important, Jesse was just a red-shirt freshmen last year.

I think the issues is that we are most likely going to start a sophomore QB and the mistakes would made above him. He could be a good player but he should not being playing yet.

Bender and Sams are where the issues land.

I guess by MIR's logic, we recruited over SAMs with Waters. Did everyone agree on that decision?

Hey dumbshit, Waters wasn't recruited and signed after Snyder saw Sams play spring ball and decided that he needed something more. If memory serves me correctly Waters committed the same weekend as Klein's Heisman Ceremony.

Is it really that hard to believe that we are going to have the least talented LHC Bill Snyder quarterback since 1992?  I mean, it seems obvious to me that this will be the case.

Grant Gregory had a demolished shoulder that he played through.  Same with Evridge. I expect Ertz to be no better than those guys WHEN Ertz injures his shoulder.

Will Ertz be better than CCQ?  Maybe, but CCQ put up respectable points per game, so it's not too big of a slight to Ertz to suggest he won't be better than CCQ.

Get real dudes.  We have some very below average QB play coming our way this year, if not the worst we have seen from Bill since 1992.

Really? We're supposed to rely on anything the KMAN guys say? Those guys are clueless. They talk to hear themselves talk. And post to see themselves post.

Also, SAMs was in the system for quite sometime. Like, he was Klein's backup and then Snyder had Klein call up Waters to wrangle him in. Aka... "Recruited over!"

If the QB were going to be bad we would have recruited a JUCO during the season last year and not the summer. The story about Banks that I heard that we found him this summer will recurring another play for next year and figured out he was eligible right way.

The fact we were willing to take Nick Marshall and Jake is all you really need to know about the confidence the staff had in Sams.
