Dakorey Johnson has not left the team despite his tweet that he was done with football

Seems like it would be tough to play for K-State and the Seahawks at the same time. :dunno:

Also, as much as I would like Banks to be our QB, he looked like the least likely candidate.  He could come in during goal line situations, but based off what I saw yesterday, I find it very unlikely that he starts.  His throws were just a bit behind and his timing was off; he would release the ball late and as the receiver turned.  Now, again, it was just one practice, but there was significant separation between Ertz and the others.
This Ertz to hear.

Hopefully the ertzmobile isn't as prone to shoulder injuries.

Banks hasn't been at K-State that long. No surprise timing would be off. Probably most easily correctable deficiency to have

Carson Coffman redux.

CC was a good QB (molasses sweep aside) that scored enough...our defense was a train wreck though.

It seems like we were running a lot of intermediate and short routes. Kind of like the spring game. Stuff I don't think we are going to run a lot of this year. Basically our staff trying to keep everything hush. Also stuff that comes with time.

How did the QBs look throwing the deep ball, I think that is far more important.

There was a passing session in which the receivers ran a hitch and go.  No one really stood out, but Ertz had a nice pass to Heath, which he dropped.  Heath looks to be our deep ball threat as his speed is noticeable and far superior than the other receivers.

Over/Under on the number of times Ertz is referred to as a "game manager" this year?

I'm setting it at 150 to start.

Did you miss my note about people being impressed with his ability to run? Game mangers just hand the ball off and pass to shallow routes. I think whomever our quarterback ends up being will handle the ball a lot, as usual for a LHC Bill Snyder football team.

Serviceable is probably more appropriate. The thing though was CC teams had Daniel Thomas and we don't have an equivalent for that at RB. The WRs also were better than too (Quarles, Frosh TT, Salute Hilburn). That being said those CC teams did score a lot.

It's amazing that this entire board knows our QB and WRs will be the worst group ever fielded by Snyder before they've played a single game together.

I don't agree with worst ever.  I think the Grant Gregory year probably can't be topped.
