Get a couple of these and run cables through the wall. Easy to do and looks good.
We've already got one of these things in our wall from the previous owner. So my dad should know what to do with it, right?

You stick your cable down one side and through the other. Very difficult.

It can be a PITA if there are any curves in it.

I installed something similar to those, though mine are plastic, wish I had those, easier to put a lot of cables through. Agree though they look great. Lack of cable management pisses me off.

Also Wacks, I would get some twist ties (not zip, unless you want to keep cutting them to fit new wires in) before you actually get cables through the cover, it'll maker it easier to thread to them in at the same time by keeping them together better (at least in my experience)

I really do still stand by my “just walk into Costco and buy the cheapest one” advice on TV’s.

do it within 90 days of Black Friday and you can trial run something and upgrade to the next size/quality level for the same $

New TV picture quality technology is a scam.  Most of your pathetic eyeballs can't even see across the room without corrective lenses so what makes you think they can detect the difference between kinds/numbers of pixels?

You poor thing, your vision is so bad you couldn’t read my post saying I have exquisite vision with my contacts in. First thing I do in the morning is put them in and BOOM, exquisite vision. Last thing I do at night is take them out because I don’t need to see super well to see my dreams because they are just in my head    So I could have super vision 24/7/365 but I don’t watch tv when I sleep.

have had a Samsung 4K 55in for 21 months. Starting today it has a vertical dark band like the picture below. Apparently a somewhat common issue for Samsung.  :bang:   guess i'm in the market again

Drunk bought at 43" TCL series 5 last week. I loved my old Vizio (and it still works after having it for about 11 years) but going from 32" to 43" is appropriate for my living room size (which is fairly small) and honestly it was about time. Anything bigger than like 47" would look hilariously overcompensating for my set up (like you could barely fit a 55" in the space I got, and I just don't need it to looks like one giant screen).

So far, very good, really enjoy the more real estate. Royals games look amazing, as is anything on netflix. Biggest PITA was wall mounting it (which looks sweet just hard to do with just 1 person) and then self made a cable blind since the old set up the TV was basically hiding the cables since it sat on the mantle. Floating exposes them and it pissed me off. Looks much better now though.

I have a Best Buy 55" Insignia Fire TV. No complaints after year 1. Sit 10' from the screen. Perfect for movie binging and sports.
