So we got a 70' inch Vizio on Sunday and thought our table would be big enough for it to stand on until we got a mount for Christmas. It is not, so we need to get one soon, because were hosting the family this weekend. Any good pro tips on TV mounts?

Amazon has mounts that are half the price of anywhere else.

I'm not the most handy person but these things are really easy to mount. Most mounts work by bolting a big bar into the wall and then hooks on the back of the TV.  You will need a second person to set the hooks on the bar.  It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.

do you have a contractor/handyman that you have used? someone who can successfully locate the studs for 'bolting a big bar into the wall'?

Not really. My dad has been doing most of the handyman stuff since we moved in.

I would get a cord cover from amazon too.  Best buy is going to be at least twice the price for any of that

Get a couple of these and run cables through the wall. Easy to do and looks good.

We've already got one of these things in our wall from the previous owner. So my dad should know what to do with it, right?
