In my mind this is more about the way gpc told everyone that the basketball players who left the team were all "smoking their way off the team" with no proof.

Admitting to having a substance abuse problem is about the dumbass'iest reason I can think of to not talk bad about a person. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to not talk bad about a lot of people. And deifying someone because they admit to having a substance abuse problem is about as LOL as getting banned from rusty's and throwing a sandwich at a police officer in a month span as a 40 something adult.
