i should clarify my above post. i do not think fraternities make any tangible contribution to the world by existing, theyre just a fun social club you can join in college. just dont group them all together because sometimes they can be a good group of guys.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

another positive thing about frats is that they're sweet and they throw awesome parties.

totally.  Also, I can know I am better than the GDI's
asking someone what house they're in is the "what university did you attend" of the undergrad world.  whatever their answer is gives you a rich source by which to judge them.
I was at a frat party once and a girl (who was hitting on me) asked me which house I was in. I said I wasn't in one and I crap you not, she walked away. I'll give you guys that, those girls wanted that frat D!

This also happened to me several times.

Did these dudes force other dudes in their fraternity to perform oral sex on a stripper?  If not then I guess its more just weird than rapey.

Tonya was right.  Hazing scandals make headlines, fundraisers and philanthropy events don't.

Facts:  Since 1825, all but three U.S. presidents have been members of a fraternity.  85% of Fortune 500 executives were part of Greek life, and college graduation rates are 20% higher among Greeks than non-Greeks. (GDI's are notoriously less intelligent)

Aside from the awesome parties, and girls who ignore people like fanning in favor of us, students who join Greek organizations to build a network, make friends and develop leadership and social skills will likely graduate, get better jobs and have more meaningful careers then the rest of you dorks.

In other words, we're better than you.

Wasn't going to waste her time if she wasn't going to check a frat house off her list. Was she a tri Delt?

Yes, I believe so. Although, I've got many awesome tri delt stories. My buddy lived in a house (actual house, not a frat) right across the street from them on the corner. They'd come over there all the time to drink. I got to know those ladies very well. Many of them are Vegas cocktail waitresses now (not that there's anything wrong with that).

It's crazy that the media doesn't report on the hazing rituals/consensual cunnilingus parties of other on-campus service organizations.

Were they running a bar out of that house?

When I lived in Woodway, my neighbors got busted for "operating an illegal saloon".  They weren't smart enough to give the keg beer away for free with purchase of a solo cup.

Have we had the what fraternity/sorority were you in thread? I don't love "what house are you in" because it short changes our Panhellenic brothers and sisters.

Whoops.  Yeah I try to say what fraternity or sorority, but old habits die hard.  Also, I want to punch anyone that asks me if I call my country a $!#*.
