I love my friends from frats, but man, you suggest one cold sore about them and they flip out. I can't remember the last positive update about a frat, nationally, ever!

I can't remember the last positive update about a frat, nationally, ever!well, there's not exactly much push from the national media to cover the good things fraternities do. fraternities do a lot of stupid/horrible things that should make the media, but they arent all bad. a "fraternity takes mission trip overseas" story doesnt get as much coverage as "fraternity sings racist song" and thats fine. your friends flip out because they dont like getting grouped into being "bros" with rapists, sexists, etc. wouldnt you flip out if someone bashed on you because your second cousin did something horrible? i agree that fraternities have a lot of problems but they also get blamed all together. truth is a lot of houses do a lot of good things and have good guys in them. theyll never get media coverage for that, though...
Hiring strippers = hazing????
another great thing is that decades after you graduate you can go back and raid their processed cheese closet
frats were pretty chill at Kstate. I feel like the cool bro/douche bro ratio was not very different among nonfrats persons. I suppose frat culture might be worse at worse universities.
another positive thing about frats is that they're sweet and they throw awesome parties.

Also, I can know I am better than the GDI'sasking someone what house they're in is the "what university did you attend" of the undergrad world. whatever their answer is gives you a rich source by which to judge them.
