Unfortunately, injuries and off-court issues plagued the Sooners and the team failed to live up to expectations. Capel led Oklahoma to a 13-18 record in the 2009-2010 season, the first losing season at Oklahoma since 1981. The Sooners ended the season with nine straight losses, the longest losing streak at Oklahoma in 41 years.

Five underclassmen left the program in the offseason and Capel was forced to play mostly unheralded leftovers and newcomers. Oklahoma went 14-18, attendance dropped significantly, and Capel was fired in March 2011.[6] While enjoying a 30-win season and an Elite 8 appearance, Capel's tenure at Oklahoma is generally regarded by Sooner fans as a disappointment.

I have gone from buying great seats in sec 18 during the Frank years to the cheapest seats possible this season via a faculty hook up.  I want oscar gone in the worst way but the actual commitment of purchasing season tickets is the only way me and my group will actually make it up to a few games.  One "positive" of Bruceketball is almost every home game is competitive irregardless of the competition.

tom crean is 120-107 overall (49-75 Big Ten) in seven years at indiana, has two ncaa tourney appearances, and has finished better than fifth in the Big Ten only once. last year, he finished tied for eighth. this year, seventh. he's likely to miss the tourney again this year.

and he'll almost surely be back for an eighth season.

oscar probably has similar job security, we just don't know it yet.
