BTW, I believe I saw that Brad Underwood became the winningest 2nd year coach in NCAA history yesterday.

I'm just wondering why anyone thinks there's a remote chance oscar would get fired. There's no justification for it based on what we knew about oscar before we hired him.

tom crean is 120-107 overall (49-75 Big Ten) in seven years at indiana, has two ncaa tourney appearances, and has finished better than fifth in the Big Ten only once. last year, he finished tied for eighth. this year, seventh. he's likely to miss the tourney again this year.

and he'll almost surely be back for an eighth season.

oscar probably has similar job security, we just don't know it yet.

oscar MUST be fired because he doesn't win enough AND also lacks the integrity of a true K-Stater. He speaks poorly of players in interviews, has an awkward demeanor, and generally mismanages player relations. These attributes do not exemplify K-State values.

Yeah I didn't realize he only had two tourney appearances in seven until I read that vote of confidence article. I know they were in some crap when he arrived, but man.

he did inherit a mess, so it's probably unfair to look at his indiana tenure in full. but even if you remove the first two years of the rebuild (it shouldn't have taken four), he's still just 44-46 in league play w/ back-to-back ncaa tourney misses.

as you know, our beloved oscar never misses B2B tourneys.
