We beat KU in back to back years for the first time since I was 8 years old. I'm nearly 40 now. We aren't at a "act like you've been there" point yet. I have no problem with rushing the court, maybe we'll beat them again next year and the next and stop which would be cool, but we are far from that point right now.

And we'll just continue validating every KU fan that sees us as little brother, treating this game as our super bowl.  How many court storming will it take for us to believe that we can and should be good enough to beat these guys at home?  We were in the freakin elite 8 a few years ago and shared the title 2 years ago.  And we're still acting like that win was the product of devine intervention.

If you want to take history into perspective, we ought to be storming the field after football victories as well.

eff, we were terrible for 2 decades but KUs equal fire the rest of our history.  Have some pride.

it's amazing to me that in our two best years (E8 & confy champ) we were like 0-6 against KU

Why do the police care about what that guy did?

Good PR. He can probably be charged with something.

They spoke with him last night and released him without any charges. I don't he gets anything serious. I think that's a purely PR tweet.

Goes to show that winning/losing to ku isn't a measuring stick for any team's success. Sad, really.

I don't care what KU fans think about me or K-State and I never have really. I don't mind if the students want to have fun and I don't think it sends any message besides them enjoying the win and that we haven't beaten KU that often. Nobody in this league has.

Defense of court-storming by proponents is even more childish than the act itself, which is why I've removed myself from debate altogether.

Seth Davis agrees.  He also wishes that Jabari fought that guy because it completes a totally consistent message.

Yes, any tv outlet that includes court stormings in their hype pieces should shut the eff up.

Not only have we been here before, we've beaten KU more times in the last 10 seasons than anyone else in the country besides Baylor (tied with 5). So yeah, it's time to stop validating them. Especially since they're not even a great team this year.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Not only have we been here before, we've beaten KU more times in the last 8 seasons than anyone else in the country besides ISU (tied with 4), OSU (tied with 4) and Baylor (one more with 5). So yeah, it's time to stop validating them. Especially since they're not even a great team this year.

we are 4-14 against KU in that span.

You're right, in the regular season. But if you include the B12 tourny, Baylor beat them twice there, too. So KSU, OSU, and Baylor are tied with 5 wins in the last 10 seasons. The point remains, if anyone should act like they've been there before, it's us - at least in recent history. Our dumbass student section needs to stop validating their trash fanbase.

Yeah, I included conference tournament. Baylor's only non-Big 12 tournament win over KU in that time is 2013.

Nope. 2009, too. They lost in the quarters. We also lost in the quarters when we choked against Texas that year. Otherwise, we would have met up with KU in the semis.

I'm not sure what you are looking at. Baylor beat KU in 09 in the conference tournament.

Check again, you'll only find 3 Baylor wins over KU in the last 10- years.

I was just going off the wiki. Is it wrong? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Big_12_Men's_Basketball_Tournament

No, I think it's right. http://www.big12sports.com/fls/10410/championships/pdfs/2009_mbasketball_bracket.pdf?DB_OEM_ID=10410

Baylor beat KU in the quarters.

Great. Glad that's settled. Court storming can now continue.
