Bowlsby said in an interview back in the day that we may need to take schools and build them up as that's what other conferences are doing (i.e. Rutgers in the Big Ten).
central and south florida and then stop at 12. make them agree to take crap for money for the first five years or so. populated state with lots of eyeballs and good recruits. also easy to get into and out of airports in the cities that they are in. good places for opposing fans to road trip to. basically bowl game destinations. rapidly expanding student populations. decent football teams within the past ten years or so with decent crowds at the games.
I think if we choose to do this, we throw a bone to Cincy and USF (I agree with you, Daris). I think WVU will get some sort of say in this, and they'll want Cincy. Cincy also gets you BCS credits or whatever because they've been there.
And, honestly, Cincy would make the basketball better, and USF isn't a slouch there, either.
Man, I feel sorry for UConn.
