I don't think central florida is rapidly expanding it's student population fwiw. because, like, they have hit max possible student population ever.

I think if we choose to do this, we throw a bone to Cincy and USF (I agree with you, Daris).  I think WVU will get some sort of say in this, and they'll want Cincy.  Cincy also gets you BCS credits or whatever because they've been there.

And, honestly, Cincy would make the basketball better, and USF isn't a slouch there, either.

Well, the Big 6 became the Big 7, and the Big 7 became the Big 8...

The point is that if you give USF and Cincy an infusion of that much cash, what happens to their programs?  Do they get new facilities?  Better coaches?  Do they become more competitive programs?  Do large markets like Cincy and Tampa increase their coverage more now that they're in a "bigger" league?

A&M just hired a better coach to lead the excellent recruits they already had from Mike Sherman. They would have had the exact same roster last season in the Big 12 as they had in the SEC. I can buy Arizona/Arizona State, though.

Why would our GOR (with bowl alliances and such being worth more than the ACC) be less restrictive than the ACC GOR?  They're both a giant pain for the Big Ten to deal with.  Also, KU has a Board of Regents problem as well.

The KBOR isn't going to let us split unless there's conference Armageddon going on, and it's very clear that there's no conference armageddon going on for at least another decade.  By then who knows what everything is going to look like?
