I agreed with this when I was the originator of the contract, but now that I am on the other side, it is pretty necessary given some of the BS you will find in a contract written by someone who doesn't fully understand what you do.

A ITK Shaggy Bevo poster from ND said they will never join the Big East in football. And if the ACC raid happens in 2013, then the ACC will in turn raid the Big East and will kill the Big East SOS. The new ACC will look a lot like the old Big East and both conferences will be pretty much out of the running for the new playoffs. So if the SEC and Big 12 do as predicted, then there will be only the big four conferences in the play off in the majority of 12 years this goes on for.
All conferences and schools will make a fraction of the payout from the playoff and will be a lot worst off financially, than the big four conferences.

I'm sure ND must be aware of this.

Lack of distribution is hitting critical mass for the LHN.

Kickoff is this Saturday and Longhorn Nation is up in arms about the lack of availability, first 2 games on the LHN, and you can't even get the LHN in the Texas Football offices.

This critical mass event could have serious implications on the future of the Big 12. Dax feelings as of this moment: The only way the Big 12 is saved is that when the LHN is declared a failure, Texas opts to evolve it into the Big 12 Network.

I don't believe that they are offering it as a subscription channel, are they? I think they were hoping all the providers would pay them, and give it to Texans for free.

They still can't get any of the significant carriers to put it on . . . and they're still angling for the 1st tier, or whatever you want to call it.

So as of today, most of Texas still can't get the LHN.

They have a ton of fans, but there are also a ton of very butthurt college football fans in Lubbock, College Station, and Waco who are calling and threatening to cancel if they are forced to pay for the LHN.

Is anyone else feeling buyer's remorse with TCU? The last thing I want to do is watch some small private schools in texas full of oil snobs and their ugly children play sports. I think we should have went with the U of New Mexico, big ass school (37,000) with an entire state media market to pull from.

True, but I always feel like no stadium can be truly bigtimey until they have permanent bleachers on all four sides of the field. One empty grass end zone always just makes it feel like KSU stadium ca. 1995. Woof.
