Quote from: jmlynch1 on May 21, 2012, 10:43:11 PMCan someone explain to the mouthbreathers why we need to TKO the ACC? Our fanbase acts like this and then wonders why Frank goes to S. Carolina. We don't need to do anything.

It might be possible, but it's going to be something tilted in the domers favor if that were to happen.I'm convinced the B12/SEC announcement came about not because this is a strong 10-team league, but because in 2013 it's going to be a strong 12-team league at the very least.

KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue
Beer pro tip: never drink anything other than BL, coors, pbr, maybe a few others that I'm forgetting

The ACC's death is good for us. Come to the darkside. (4 team playoff, Notre Dame)
i have no idea what people mean when they say the acc is dead. they aren't going to stop playing football. if anything, a weakened acc will make it easier for one team to rise up (a la tcu, boise), run the table, and then get into the playoffs.

I know you've had a decent program and fan base, but we've decided to effectively destroy one of your favorite interests because we like money so damn much and want to tell our Missouri friends, coworkers, and message board posters "told ya so." Hope you understand.
Don't care if ACC dies... They didn't exactly throw us a lifeline when we were rearranging deck chairs.

Well since no one on this board is going to see a dime of that money...

A 4 team playoff they won't be invited to.
Quote from: EMAWmeister on May 21, 2012, 11:25:46 PMWell since no one on this board is going to see a dime of that money...Which is why it's so stupid for fan bases to talk like they care about how much money their school's athletic department has. Makes me pull my hair out. University presidents should care about that stuff. Athletic Directors should care about that stuff. Fans shouldn't care at all. Living vicariously through the monetary success of your favorite sports programs' athletic department is so stupid it makes me want to puke. Especially when K-State fans do it. Got into an argument with Missouri fans last year at Salty Rim after we kicked their ass and they talked about all the money they're going to see in the SEC, and all the glitz and glam of playing in the SEC. I wanted to grab them by the shoulders and shake them and shout in their faces and say "YOU'RE A COLLEGE KID. WHY DO YOU CARE?" Missouri effectively made it impossible for their students to hop in the car on a Saturday morning and make a day trip to an away game and get drunk and party after the game with their friends that go to the other school. That's so fun. Sure they can't do that anymore but at least their school's AD has so much more money. How trivial.I hate that
