Thinking about this makes me hate Brownback, KBOR, et al. even more. Back when the B12 looked like it was going to explode and all the talk of KSU, KU staying together may have prevented little brother from moving on to a basketball conference, and if they had we would have had one more slot this week to make super-sexy girlfriend even super sexier.

According to two people with the strongest ties possible to Florida State's Athletic Department, FSU fully plans on exiting the Atlantic Coast Conference. Florida State will begin its transition to the Big 12 Conference beginning this June. One source went as far as to say, "at this point the move is inevitable."

SEC adds VT + 1
Big Ten adds whatever leftovers they want (I'd bet strongly on UVA who's already begging & UNC)

The Big 10 isn't ever expanding without Notre Dame, IMO.

There isn't anyone out there, other than ND, that's going to move their meter that also meets their academic requirements.

And Notre Dame isn't going to the Big Ten.  If they're going anywhere, it's to us.

The second it hit mainstream media as a possibility, it was over. 

Most people out there have no idea how social media works.  Once you know about something in the mainstream media, it's already passed the tipping point.

FSU was a done deal about two weeks ago, and FSU may or may not have known it.
