WVU has been involved with all conference business since it was announced they were joining.  Thedude works for WVU, I'm not sure while K-Staters not named Fitz are trying so hard to discredit him.

During the Dude's interview with Blatant Homerism he said that the Animal was one of the players with Luck and Neinas in getting FSU/Clemson/GT interest.  "A young, dynamic leader - one of the driving forces championing WVU's inclusion [into the Big 12]".  "And there is a relationship between The Animal and Bobby Huggins".  The Animal told me last fall we would have 12 in 2012.  I also wonder if this below is one of the reasons why the schedule took so long to get out.  I think they thought they would have 12 before now...

Clemson and the Big 12 have exchanged financial information, projected schedules and revenue estimates.  They have reached an agreement on all substantial issues.

Awesome crap (the good kind) on here. Living in ACC country, I was talking to a VT grad and he was all, "FSU would not join the Big 12. They would have joined the SEC if they were going to do anything. The ACC is strong and FSU wouldn't make any more money in the Big 12." I slammed him with some facts learned w/i this thread (no one lies or exaggerates on goEMAW.com, do they?) and then I beat him over the head with my Big 12 beating stick. Then, as he gathered himself and got back on his feet, he said that there were some grumblings that ND was going to join the ACC and that would lock up FSU from ever leaving. I then threw out some more goEMAW.com factual talking points about how ND wants to come to the Big 12 so the two most recognizable CFB brands would be in the same conference. He said that ND has nothing in common with the Big 12 and that the ACC is most like ND, so they were going to join the ACC. I realized at this point that this VT grad had an aneurism from the previous beating I had just given him and I walked away. Nothing would make my life more complete right now than inviting him over to my house to watch the press conference where FSU and ND announce that they will be joining the Big 12.

Yeah, the ND in all sports but football and must play 6 confy games a year deal is ok I guess.  LHC Bill Snyder would probably hold up negotiations until he got assurances that KState was excluded from having to play them in non-con though.

West Virginia is a rough ridin' ninja, doing all the Big XII's dirty work while they're still members of the big east. They've been the ones dealing with FSU, so the Big XII can say they haven't made contact. That's why so much news has been coming from that WVU source. FSU is reportedly a done deal. Texas wants Georgia Tech, clemson is on the edge. The idea is to take GT to try and entice Notre Dame. Big XII might be looking at 14.

Wait, so I go to bed early last night and wake up to find ND is now a realistic option if the BCS decides on conference champs which the Big 10, ACC, PAC 12 have thrown their support behind leaving the Big 12 as the deciding vote either for against the SEC?

I should go to bed early more often.
