I don't know where it stands right now.  I do know that 4 years ago, when the Hard Rock was first slated to go forward, there were three others that were up for approval as well: The one I mentioned above, The Sands had a contingent offer on something like 400 acres along I435 and Leavenworth rd., and another group had a contingent offer on land next to Schlitterbaun water park on the east side of I435 from the Legends.

Economy went boom, and the Hard Rock is the only one I have heard solid stuff on since. 

Hard Rock plan died a long time ago, and Hollywood Casino took its place. In fact it's almost finished:

meh.  LSU and bama had great defenses but outside of Richardson not a ton of offense.  Not saying mu won't get pounded, they are a lower level Big 12 team, but last night's big game showed us the SEC is just massive lines and big LB's, but shitty QB's and gameplans.

If other Texas schools other than Big 12 teams are refusing to schedule A&M because they don't want to open up the state to the SEC, don't think they'll jump at the chance to play a team with a smaller stadium and more travel. Not sure how that "You can play in Texas once in your college career" is going to work with their Lone Star recruiting base.
