QuoteInteresting additional tidbit - The Uniiversity Presidents were using the same conference call call-in number as last year and they believe that Orangebloods may have had that number because reports were printed 2 hours after a meeting and no one in the meeting would have told the press.

QuoteTop Source - Louisville joining within 2 weeks is likely. Notre Dame for all sports is still in play. Big 12 is wanting to be at 12 teams by December. BYU was never considered. They had too many restraints. Big 12 only wants to expand East. Nobody knows what Missouri is doing but they are gone at end of season.

They should use WebEx or something where they can see everyone on the call.

"Son. This is why we are wildcats. Hard work, pride, the heart of this country. And if that's not enough for you, you can just move to California with your punk friends."

i'm surprised at how banal mellinger has turned out to be. when he first appeared, he seemed so young, boyish and introduced by jeffrey martinish that i thought he might be something of a downmarket luke winn.
I think the Indian Casino in downtown KCK should build an arena there. Go Orleans style. gambling/concerts/sporting events

I do know that 4 years ago, when the Hard Rock was first slated to go forward, there were three others that were up for approval as well: The one I mentioned above, The Sands had a contingent offer on something like 400 acres along I435 and Leavenworth rd., and another group had a contingent offer on land next to Schlitterbaun water park on the east side of I435 from the Legends. Economy went boom, and the Hard Rock is the only one I have heard solid stuff on since.

I don't think UGWYCO is going to turn it into Vegas out there. I think the indians are the only ones in a position to build a new one. That leads us to the next problem is the Big12 is not likely to host a tourney where there is gambling....especially if we let those weirdo catholics in.
