The question isn't whether or not the SEC wants Missouri at this point.  It's whether or not they'll actually pull the trigger and go.  There's apparently a lot of infighting on their side, and from what I understand, the Chairman of the BoC and Deaton don't want to go.

If Missouri chooses to stay, and we quickly move to invite Louisville, it will be very interesting where the SEC moves for #14.

yeah.  I mean, the ACC is probably the 3rd/4th most stable conference and it's members aren't going to be as interested in jumping ship to the SEC as B12/BE programs but it has to be considered.

yeah. I guess NC State got kind of slapped in the face when they got put in a division w/o Duke and UNC while nothing really happened to MU other than instability that they created.

If WVU signs over their rights before Missouri figures out what they're going to do, there's not much the SEC can do about it.

The hold up on the Mizzou side is a combination of legal stuff and infighting.  It's not some unanimous majority.  The guy that has the power to actually make the decision doesn't want to go anywhere.

It's not about who the SEC wants.  It's about who they want and who they can get.

Top Source - Louisville joining within 2 weeks is likely. Notre Dame for all sports is still in play. Big 12 is wanting to be at 12 teams by December. BYU was never considered. They had too many restraints. Big 12 only wants to expand East. Nobody knows what Missouri is doing but they are gone at end of season.

Interesting additional tidbit - The Uniiversity Presidents were using the same conference call call-in number as last year and they believe that Orangebloods may have had that number because reports were printed 2 hours after a meeting and no one in the meeting would have told the press.

However, a lot of complete miss-information or made-up stories are being printed also by several reporters.
