ACC says no on partial membership for ND (duh).

http://www.dailypress.com/sports/teel-blog/dp-teel-time-acc-commissioner-john-swofford-closes-door-on-partial-notre-dame-membership-20111019,0,4211491.story

nd isn't going to make a decision that impacts even a single game of fball scheduling based on bball and non-revenue sports.

one of the things people also miss when thinking about nd and other big time schools (like texas) is that they don't really care about tv money.  i mean they aren't going to give it away, but it is just meaningless compared to keeping the alums happy and the donations flowing.

Just seems like YUM and Papa Johns are like mortal enemies.  And you can keep the change.

UL has facilities named after Papa Johns and YUM foods?  Isn't that kinda like Obama being the 2nd coming of Hitler?

wut

YUM foods owns Pizza Hut.  Although I'm pretty sure UL/YUM/Papa Johns all don't give a crap, because all three are making a ton of money from the little triangle deal.

When does the MU hit the fan today?

They are in session as we speak.  Would imagine them to drag it out pretty long, then announce around 5pm or 5:30pm so they get the spot light during drive time.

Whores.

From what I've read, most people aren't anticipating anything until tomorrow at earliest...but then there's this:

I heard something while listening to BITB thatI absolutely agree with.  The caller suggested that if (probably should have said when) MU heads to the SEC the state of Kansas should take immediate action and grant instate tuition to residents of Jackson, Clay and Cass counties.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

This would boost K-State's enrollment some, but KU would really reap the windfall. Not sure how I feel about that. OTOH, it would be a great excuse to keep the tournament in KC.

UMKC already does this with nearby Kansas counties, BTW:

Quote
Undergraduate, non-professional students who are legal residents of Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami, Wyandotte, Atchison, Douglas, Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Osage, or Shawnee counties in Kansas will be assessed educational fees equivalent to those of a Missouri resident (the "in-state" rate).

1.  Yes, resident tuition status for KC Metro-MO students, heck make it all border counties.

2.  MU pays maximum exit fees.

3.  Nobody in Big 12 schedules mu in anything.

That would pretty much seal ku's dominance of the Raymore-Peculiar tv market, and give them that resume builder during the next conference realignment.
