Let's not act like today's leak from OU to the Oklahoman and Scott announcing there would be no further PAC expansion was a coincidence.

I have full confidence now all parties are coming back to the table to get this worked out.

OU won't actively quell any SEC talk simply for additional bargaining power, but it is obvious now that they believe the Big XII is their preferred home.

I would assume that there is a clause in the tv contracts (definitely in the new Fox contract) that kills the deal if the conference dissolves.

There is no chance of any mass exodus at this point.  It seems obvious to me that no conference is going to 16.  The Pac 12 isn't and the Big Ten isn't and the SEC won't force them to do so either, there is simply no reason.  The SEC and ACC are left with an akward number of teams and have diluted their dollars and product.  As I see it currently the 1 SEC spot is the only spot left.  I bet the UPs of the SEC are pissed and wish they could give A&M back, now they are going to take someone else they don't really want like WVU.

i know.  But apparently people think Texas is going to want to be "equal" to a bunch of hicks in the midwest.  They believe it's their god given right to take more, be more, have more, want more, get more and our god given duty to understand that.

Could and should.  They have no options left to add value.  I think it is amazing that two of the bigger villains in this, David Boren and Larry Scott, may unintentionally settle all of this down.  Well Boren is kind of intentional since his insistence on sticking with OSU has screwed the SEC.
